Fleet Driver Training

Why Bother?

All accidents, whether at home or at work, have hidden costs. By managing your employee’s health and safety issues, benefits can be considerable - no matter what size your business or organisation is.

When implementing a Work Related Road Safety Policy within any organisation, immediate improvements are found in controlling the costs in areas like vehicle wear and tear, fuel consumption, insurance premiums and employee and third party claims.

By adopting a Road Safety Policy, research has found that reducing accidents means fewer lost productive days due to injury and ill heath. Stress is reduced; less management time is involved investigating incidents, and you gain greater control of running costs and scheduling. This leads to improved morale and driving standards, which heightens your company profile.

Any business or organisation along with their employees has a Duty of Care to ensure all reasonable steps are taken to reduce risk at work and on the road. Government is a present pressurising the Health & Safety Executive to actively pursue employers who do not adopt a Work Related Road Safety Policy and who as a consequence can not show reasonable efforts have been made to minimise risk to their employees - both at work and on the road.

Further information is available on request on how to implement a Work Related Road Safety Policy, and how driver training can reduce your risks and costs.
